Celebrity Grand Finale
The Beat & Battle (qualification) has a total prize pool of $3,075. To participate, players will need a copy of Cradle of Sins’ Beta version on Steam. To unlock the tournament, play at least 3 practice matches. When the player feels comfortable with their in-game skills, start the tournament by pressing the “start tournament” button in-game and agreeing with the terms, at which point the player’s top eight, highest scored competitive games will count towards their final point score on the Leaderboard. Players can play unlimited competitive matches.
A competitive game is a 3v3 match. Points will be handed out to each player individually based on their team win/loss, their kill count, assists, towers destroyed, and minions killed. Exact points for each action will be determined. The participant can check their tournament progress in the menu under the “tournament progress” tab.
A player who finishes in the top 6 is required to participate in the Beat & Battle (“finals“) and agree to take part in the content created to market the finals. The player must agree to stream their gameplay footage and point of view from the finals for broadcasting. The player must be available for broadcast testing prior to the tournament. If the player who finished in the top 6 does not consent with these rules, the next player on the leaderboard will be chosen to participate in the finals.
Remember, the game is still under development and we might delay the tournament in the event when technical difficulties cause trouble. During the competitive matches, players might experience bugs and glitches which may alter the score unfairly but therefore these scores still count. Unless these bugs and glitches drastically change the outcome of the game. In this case, each instance will be evaluated individually, and we will determine if the bug/glitch is enough to cancel the match score to count towards their endpoint score. If you want us to evaluate the unfair match caused by a tremendously game altering bug, you must provide us with in game screen recording of the situation.
If a player crashes out of the game the score won’t count towards the final score count on the Leaderboard.
We may push an update to address bugs and gameplay issues during the tournament, which could affect gameplay.
The following prizes will be awarded to each player, based on their placement within the Leaderboard. There are awards for the first 20 players who finish on the Leaderboard.
Awards will be handed over 1 month period after Beat & Battle Event.
The tournament is scheduled for November 11th, 2020.
The Beat & Battle (finals) will be held between 8 teams and top 6 players will take part of the “Grand Finale”. Finals are expected to be held in October and the details of it will be revealed soon. The total prize pool for the finals is $25,000 (being donated to charity). Players who don’t show up for the finals will be replaced with the players who finished on the Leaderboard a spot below.
Each player can participate in the tournament only once with their Cradle of Sins Early Access key. Players who participate in the tournament more than once with a different account, with the same IP address or with the same Steam key will be disqualified.
Players who cheat, manipulate the game data, arrange games with the purpose to let someone have a good score, crash the game on purpose, exploit known game bugs and other ways to cheat will be disqualified. If we suspect any suspicious activities we have the right to disqualify players without notice.
Before The Beat & Battle competition, we will host a short test tournament to test out the systems.
